Grey Fox Comments:
Nymph
Nymphs move from their fast water habitat to adjacent slower shallows. A weighted nymph fished on the bottom with motion is effective until the hatch begins. During the hatch, use an unweighted nymph fished in the surface film.
Emerger
Fish in the surface film during early hatch.
Dun
As with vicarium, fuscum duns float long distances trying awkwardly to get off the water. Flyfishers should locate feeding trout and float their imitation over the feeding station in the attitude of naturals.
Spinner
Keep watch above for gathering spinners and get ready for the action. Choose a position near fast water and note the best targets as much of the spinner fall occurs after dark. Fish a full spent fly dead drift.
